Capillary collection for Ambilamp

Ecolex extends its collaboration with the Ambilamp Foundation through its contract with Indumetal Recycling. Ambilamp is a non-profit organization that groups manufacturers of fluorescent lamps and other lighting systems to get the recycling of the products they put on the market after the end of their usable life. In addition to the logistics of withdrawing the industrial channel by which lamps are collected from installers, warehouses and large consumers, Ecolex is now going to carry out small format withdrawals. Through a capillary network with more than 700 points in Galicia, Ecolex plans to collect about 30,000 kg of tubes, low-energy lamps and LEDs out of use, helping to recover materials and prevent pollutants like mercury could be released into the environment. Capillary network is composed of small commerce, commercial areas, local waste facilities… with containers accessible to the citizen. The removal of the waste from these centers is carried out by specialized personnel and in vehicles dedicated to the transport of waste.
